August 6th to 12
6th Cozumel Tab C drill. Woohoo, don't have to do anymore. I'm a deputy team leader but I have a primary duty as a stairway guide. The deputy team leader role model is my secondary duty. But today a team from the office were testing us and they advised that I don't have to do the Tab C drills, only A and D. That means two general boat drills per month not three. Best news this week!
Afte drill and went out and had lunch at Three Amigos. The biggest bowl of guacamole I've ever seen for one person.
7th Sea Day
8th Galveston - no loading, no liquor pick up, but I had to redo immigration. When we sign on to the ship we are issued with an I95, which allows us to work on US home ported ships. Mine was so faded that security could no longer read the date or port issued. So I had to spend almost two hours in the immigration queue for a process that took 3 minutes.
9th Sea Day
10th Cozumel. I had a phone call with Anne, our district manager, regarding some training that I have just started. Then I had lunch at one of my favourite places in Puerta Maya, Pancho's Backyard.
My team had the whole night off. Normally our night off starts at 8pm, but today we didn't have to come in at all. Awesome, I didn't do anything exciting but it was so nice not to have to work at all.
11th Progreso. Mmm, don't remember what I did at all. I think I probably slept. I know I didn't get off the ship.
12th Sea Day
Books read this week:
Ghost amount by Heather Graham. Book 2 in The Bone Island Trilogy. Haven't read book 1, let's start in the middle of the series. Why not?
