One of my goals this summer is to spend at least 30 minutes each day outside.
Not time spent going for a run or weeding the garden or bringing the rubbish bin in (believe me, by the time I walk down the driveway and then haul the bin back ip, it can take 30 mins).
30 mins to unwind. 30 mins to appreciate my surroundings. 30 mins to remind me how good my life is, how fortunate I am.
30 mins in the morning, on the deck with my breakfast and my book.
30 mins in the evening, walking along the seawall watching the sun start to set.
30 mins anytime, perched on a piece of driftwood on the beach across the road, watching the sky change colours, reading my book, listening to my iPod, writing a letter or taking Bella for a swim.
30 minutes outside.
