2011 had a shaky end for me.
I am truly grateful to the family and friends (long tine friends, new friends and unexpected friends) who were there to support me.
I am thankful for so much.
For all the hugs, for the dinners, for drinks, for listening, for the phone calls, for the messages and just for being there.
To Sharyn, Kath and Morag who didn't get the vacations they were expecting but came to visit anyway.
To Heather, Yves, Isabelle, Judi and Bruce who took me (and Morag) in at Christmas so I wouldn't be at home alone.
To Andrea G, Terry, David, Wade and especially Carlea and Peter who got me through the last couple of train trips of the season.
To Jacqui, Andrea O, Andrea C, Kyla, Rose, Erin, Michelle and Joern who took me out for dinner or drinks or coffee when I needed it most.
To Joanna and Merdeka for helping me put up my Christmas decorations.
To my new friends from Kathe Wohlfahrt at the VCM for making me laugh on two days I never thought I'd make it through.
To old friends who included me in their pre Christmas dinner. I wasn't sure, but they embraced me and made me feel welcome.
To Carlea and Andreas, who took on more than they bargained for when they offered their friendship.
To everyone who offered me a place to stay everywhere from Vancouver, to Alberta, to Washington, Kansas, the UK, Ireland and Australia.
To everyone who sent me virtual hugs, and words of support.
To my Mum and Dad, Jo and Jane who has been there phone call after phone call.
To my friends who I haven't seen in a long time but have been there via Facebook.
To those I haven't mentioned individually.
I don't say it often enough but I really appreciate each and everyone of you and everything you have done for me.
Love you all. Thank you for being my friends in 2011. I look forward to spending more time with you in 2012.
