Yep, it's Christmas at our house already. Sort of. We leave in 3 weeks. We are having Christmas with Hubby's family in two weeks. And there are a couple of packages that I need to mail this week if there is any chance of them arriving in time for Christmas.
This is what my lounge room floor looked like a few hours ago. Every thing contained in a small area:
This is what it looks like now. Stuff everywhere:
Shopping for everyone here in Canada is done. Except Hubby's dad. Hubby is in charge of that gift. I've known what I wanted to get my mother in law and niece since April. My sister in law is proving a little more difficult, only because I don't want to get her the same thing I have every year. I don't see her very often, so I'm not always sure of her likes and dislikes. I could go the gift card route (and probably will include one), but I still need something she will like and use. Jen, if you are reading this I could do with some suggestions!
Shopping for everyone is Australia is almost done. Usually shopping for my mum and my brother and his girlfriend is easy peasy, and shopping for my dad is hard. Not so much this year. My dad was easy. I've had his gift since the summer. It's going to be a pain in the butt to get home, but I have it. I still have no idea what to get for my brother and his girlfriend. And they are no help, the only suggestion they made was "No Christmas Crap!" I think I know what I want to get for my mum, but not sure if she would use it or not, and I keep changing my mind on which one.
And hubby? Well he is proving most difficult of all. In previous years he's received a compound sliding mitre saw, an aviation headset, an aviation watch, lenses for his camera... This year he has be stumped.
Oh and I'm going to need a bigger suitcase to get everything home to Australia.
