or with Dave anyway. Dave and I rarely manage to co-ordinate a day when we are both off and it's sunny weather. Neither of us was working on Saturday, and we woke up to glorious, sunny weather. Freezing bloody cold, but clear, blue, windless sky. So we loaded ourselves into the plane and away we went.
Oliver is 417kms or 259 miles from us, thats about a 5 hour drive - or an hour and a half in our little plane. Oliver is in BC wine country, and we are hoping to spend a few days up there this summer. This was our practise trip. We spent about an hour in town checking out hotels, camping, the info centre. Then we flew home again.
My friendly pilot.
Coming into Oliver
Flying over Penticton - we'll be spending a weekend here in the summer as well, on the edge of the lake.
Flyin over the mountains on the way home.
Back on land, I've gone swap mad. The package for this chocolate swap is ready to go, the chocolate had to be replaced more than once.
I'm almost ready for this potholder swap, and I don't even have my partner yet!
And I'm terrifed for this redwork swap, as my partner is an awesome crafter, and I'm having an inferiority complex.
Did you know that February 6th is World Nutella Day? It is. Read about it on Shelley's blog. I have my nutella ready, it sits on the shelf between the vegemite and the peanut butter. Costco sells twin packs.
Somewhere I have a recipe for a baked nutella cheesecake. I'm drooling already.
On a final note, can you work out what this is a picture of?
It's our bedroom wall. We like colour in our house. You can see more here or here
