Where was this when I was standing outside counting cars and sky train passengers for 10 hours a day?

This would have been full of hot chocolate with a lot a little bit of Baileys in it.

 

It's a lot prettier and way more fun, than the boring stainless steel one that I've had for the last 10+ years. Maybe it's time I upgraded.

Malbec Shoes

Malbec is a word I normally associate with red wine. A red wine from Argentina or Chile. I haven't found a Malbec that I haven't liked yet.

So of course these shoes caught my eye. You can't drink them, but they sure look pretty. They won't be coming home with me anytime soon because:
I wear black boots to work
These are $178.00
Miss Albright shoes never fit true to size so I'd need to try them on first
In 5 weeks I'll be out of work so now is not the time to spend $200 on a pair of shoes!

Christmas Wishlist - Tommy Emmanuel Christmas Album

I have an eclectic taste in music. My iPod has everything from classical to rock to pop to dance to  hip hop to rap to R&B to country and a tiny bit of jazz. The only thing I don't really like is heavy metal. And I love Christmas music, weird I know.  Very few of my friends on this side of the world have heard of Tommy Emmanuel.

He's an Australian guitar player who has been around for a long time. Back when I was still a teenager he played on recordings for Air Supply and Men at Work and was then part of the band Dragon. 

He become a little more prominent overseas when he and his brother Phil, performed during the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony.

 

 

 

A fingerstyle guitarist Tommy Emmanuel was inspired at a young age by Chet Atkins.  As an adult he recorded and album with Chet Atkins. In 1999, in Nashville, Chet Atkins presented him with the guitar world's highest honour - the C.G.P. Award (Certified Guitar Player).  Chet Atkins bestowed the C.G.P. award on only 4 guitar players, Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Wariner, John Knowles and Jerry Reed. That's pretty impressive, no?

Anyways, Tommy is currently recording a Christmas Album that's due out later this year.  And if it's not in my stocking or someone doesn't downlown it for me, then I download it myself.

Barb, Rose and I had a wonderful evening at The Scandinave Spa in Whistler. I'd love to go back again.  Guess what I saw at Costco? Gift cards for The Scandinave Spa. $100.00 worth of gift cards for $79.99.  Make a good wedding anniversary or Christmas present, wouldn't it? It would cover the entry fee and I can put the rest towards a massage or lunch. Or a second entry.

Is It Wrong That I Want to Buy a Book to Tear the Pages Out?

I would like to buy this book of maps, titled simply Maps.

 

 

Then I want to tear out the pages for some of the cities I've lived in or traveled to. And frame them and hang them on a wall somewhere.

 

Is it wrong to buy a book, with the only intention being to pull it apart? Not to mention I have no wall space left.
