and it lasted much longer than planned. I started a new full time job about 3 weeks ago, and I'm still working at my old part time job too. So it's left little time for anything else. Plus there's the 1 1/2 hour commute each way. But I am really enjoying the job.
I've also started ground school for flying. No, I 'm not going to get my pilot's license. But I am going to learn the theory and a little bit of practical flying. Hubby and I go flying. A lot. Most times it's just him and me in the plane. He's very healthy and is going to live for a long long time. But, what if? What if he suddenly passed out. What if he got really sick? etc etc etc. I can fly the plane in a straight line right now. But what if? What if I have to be the one to fly the plane to the nearest landing area (hopefully an airport)? What if I have to land the plane? So once a week for the next year I'm going back to school. I need to learn how to read all those instruments, I need to learn to navigate, I need to learn to descend, and land. Wish me luck.
There's been no crafting, no baking, no letter writing, very little reading, even less TV and no movies in the last 3 weeks.
I did however manage to mail of some christmas presents. So if you are my mum and dad, my brother and his girlfriend, my friends Jane and Cindy, ,my friend Jo, my friend Narelle and her husband, Justin, and their boys, Dale and Liam or Meg or Kara, then your parcels are on their way. They are taking the slow boat, but you will get them I hope in time for Christmas. See all that mail in the boot of the car? $270.00 worth of postage. I hope you like your gifts! If they arrive before Christmas, don't open them. Except Kara. Your can open yours when it arrives. And Meg too. (actually Meg's arrived already)
And there's still a few more to be mailed out yet!
